Sam Fender is now the clear favourite to headline Glastonbury 2027

Sam Fender is the clear favourite with William Hill to headline any night at Glastonbury next year, after details of his 2027 stadium tour left a gap over the Worthy Farm weekend. He is priced at 1/3, a 75% implied chance, to headline any night on the Pyramid Stage in 2027.

The move puts him ahead of Harry Styles, who is the only other artist odds-on at 5/6. Also in the running are Sabrina Carpenter at 4/1, Taylor Swift at 9/2, and Fontaines D.C. and Robbie Williams both at 5/1. The field, or BAR, is 6/1. Oasis are 12/1 for what would be a fourth stint at the festival, with William Hill saying their tour dates do not lend themselves to a return.

Fender announced the Proper Massive Stadium Tour this week. The run opens with two nights at Newcastle’s St. James’ Park on 3 and 5 June, then Principality Stadium in Cardiff on 10 June, and two nights at London’s Wembley Stadium on 18 and 20 June. After that, the next listed dates are Marlay Park in Dublin on 1 July and a Saturday headline at Rock Werchter on 3 July. Glastonbury 2027 runs from Wednesday 23 June to Sunday 27 June, so the diary has a clear hole between the second Wembley show and Dublin.

That is a sharp change from the start of the month. On 1 October, Harry Styles was the favourite at 4/6 with Gambling.com, ahead of Fender at 6/4. Styles is touring again in 2027, and William Hill say those dates line up conveniently with the Worthy Farm weekend. He remains odds-on, just no longer the shortest price.

William Hill spokesperson Lee Phelps said: “Glastonbury fever is already starting to build after a fallow summer and Sam Fender is the latest name to hit the top of the betting for next year’s headliners.

“Fender, who recently announced his ‘Proper Massive Stadium Tour ‘27’, is now just 1/3 to headline any night on the Pyramid Stage next year, having seemingly left a space for the festival in his tour dates. We give him a 75% chance of returning five years on from his early-evening set on the Pyramid Stage in 2022.

“The only other artist odds-on to headline next year is Harry Styles at 5/6, with his next tour dates lining up conveniently with the Worthy Farm weekend.

“With a lot of time still to pass before any acts are announced, there are still a number of big names in the running at single-figure prices, none of whom can be counted out just yet.”

Fender last played Glastonbury on Friday 24 June 2022, in the early evening on the Pyramid Stage, directly before Billie Eilish. The hour-long set opened with Will We Talk? and closed with Hypersonic Missiles, taking in Seventeen Going Under and Spit of You, which he dedicated to his dad. A headline slot next year would be his first Worthy Farm appearance since then, and his first time topping the Pyramid.

The odds are not a booking. Glastonbury has not announced any 2027 artists, and Emily Eavis has already said the three Pyramid headliners were in place by August, while ruling out Madonna. Oasis have also been taken out of the running. The festival is back after a fallow year in 2026, and 2027 tickets have sold out, with a resale of cancelled or returned tickets due in spring 2027.

William Hill, to headline any night on the Pyramid Stage in 2027:

  • Sam Fender, 1/3
  • Harry Styles, 5/6
  • Sabrina Carpenter, 4/1
  • Taylor Swift, 9/2
  • Fontaines D.C., 5/1
  • Robbie Williams, 5/1
  • BAR, 6/1

The market is listed under William Hill’s Glastonbury Specials. Odds can change, and a short price is not confirmation that anyone has been booked.
