Independent active rock band Set It Off has unveiled their new self-titled album, arriving on 7th November 2025. The album opens with the furious new single ‘Pathological’, now available to stream. The announcement coincides with news of The Self-Titled Tour, an extensive North American run spanning October through December, with support from Fame On Fire, VANA and The Pretty Wild. Tickets and VIP packages are now on sale.
This marks a significant milestone for the band as they return with their first full-length album since 2022’s ‘Elsewhere’ and their debut under their new independent status. Following radio success with previous singles ‘Punching Bag’, ‘Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing [REBORN]’ and ‘Rotten’, Set It Off is stepping fully into their own hands with this release. Vocalist Cody Carson, alongside drummer Maxx Danziger and guitarist Zach DeWall, have created what they describe as their heaviest and most rage-filled record yet.
‘Pathological’ serves as a seething, riff-and-rap-filled opening statement for the album, addressing themes of deception and false personas. Carson explains the song’s inspiration: “It’s unfortunate—the number of people I’ve come across in my lifetime that feel the need to make stuff up all the time because they feel like their current life isn’t exciting enough. At first they seem like little white lies that just embellish somebody’s stories, but as they get away with it, they realise they can lie all the time. Then it gets out of hand—because it always does—and it ruins their life. This song is my response to the handfuls of people I’ve met who took advantage of my kindness in order to get ahead. I don’t have to name names, because everybody else already knows.”
Reflecting on the album’s creation, Carson notes: “Every previous album was so necessary for us to be able to find this sound. This is not the final destination, but it’s the road we should have been running down the whole time.” Set It Off has established themselves as a multi-million streaming and globally touring band before taking control of their releases independently. The band’s transition to independence has already seen them reach new heights on rock radio and make notable appearances at DWP festivals.
The self-titled album comprises 12 tracks showcasing the band’s sonic evolution. The tour is dedicated to the memory of Dave Shapiro, Emma Huke and Kendall Fortner. Set It Off comprises vocalist and lyricist Cody Carson, drummer Maxx Danziger and guitarist Zach DeWall.
