Shania Twain to headline Saturday at State Fayre 2027

State Fayre

Shania Twain will headline Saturday night at State Fayre 2027, the first name confirmed for the festival’s return to Hylands Park, Chelmsford. She plays on 19 June, with the weekend running from 18 to 20 June 2027.

The Essex date is part of a wider run of UK and Ireland shows that also takes in Scarborough, Glasgow, Cardiff, Exeter, Dublin, Belfast and Blenheim Palace. Two further State Fayre headliners are still to be named, and the rest of the line-up has not been announced.

Early bird tickets have already sold out. A PayPal presale opens at 9am on Wednesday 4 November 2026, followed by a limited Live Nation and Ticketmaster presale at 9am on Thursday 5 November. Weekend and Saturday day tickets then go on general sale at 9am on Friday 6 November via statefayre.com.

Twain called the booking an honour, and said she had heard last summer’s festival was a blast. “We all know I love the UK and my UK fans are the best,” she said. “Summer will be here before we know it, see you all soon for my hits from ’93 and the first record to Little Miss Twain, my latest release. Let’s go!”

Organisers Anna-Sophie Mertens and Alex Simmonds said they were “over the moon” to reveal the first details of the 2027 edition. “An icon not just in the history of country music but also in global culture itself, Shania is the perfect fit for what State Fayre is all about,” they said. “A true celebration in every sense of the word, singing along is going to be a must by the time June comes around.”

The set is being billed as a career-spanning singalong, from early hits through to Little Miss Twain, her seventh studio album, released in 2026. The press release points to Man! I Feel Like a Woman!, That Don’t Impress Me Much and You’re Still the One as the songs most likely to turn Hylands Park into a chorus, and calls her the “Queen of Country Pop”.

State Fayre launched in 2026 as a camping festival built around Americana, state fair culture, tailgate parties and barbecue. Kings of Leon, Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts, and The Lumineers topped that first bill, later joined by Alanis Morissette. Organisers now say the debut welcomed more than 50,000 fans to Hylands Park.

The site’s FUME Pit put 15 pitmasters in one live fire arena, with dishes from under £10 and smokers brought in from Brazil and the United States. The 2027 return is again pitched as the UK’s largest music and barbecue festival, mixing established names with newer acts, and aimed at all ages.

Press quotes from the debut include five stars from Metro (“Huge lineup… Challenged everything I thought I knew about big music weekends”), “the festival that Essex has been missing for over a decade” from Essex Live, and “State Fayre, you’d be mad to miss it” from Clash. Girls in Low Places called it “the future of country music in the UK”. Billboard said it “knocked it out the park”, Absolute called it “Mega”, and another review said “you could be forgiven for thinking you’re somewhere deep in Texas”.

Further headliners and acts will be announced in the coming weeks. Full ticket information is at statefayre.com.
