bluedot the award-winning festival that fuses music, science and cosmic culture held at Cheshire’s iconic Jodrell Bank Observatory has today announced an incredible addition to Thursday evening at this year’s festival.
Fresh from Glastonbury, and having first worked together on his second album, The Blue Notebooks 20 years ago, Oscar award-winning actor Tilda Swinton will join Max Richter for his performance on Thursday evening (20 July). Reading from The Declaration of Human Rights for his performance of VOICES, this will be her first-ever performance of this work.
Following in the footsteps of previous opening concert headliners Hannah Peel and Paraorchestra, and Manchester’s Hallé Orchestra, the prodigious composer and producer will perform an exclusive orchestral collaboration beneath the Lovell Telescope to open bluedot 2023.
Richter’s and Tilda’s unique performance promises to be an incredible opening to the festival and a bluedot highlight for years to come.
