SXM Festival has revealed the first wave of artists for its 10th edition, taking over the Caribbean island of St. Martin from 17 to 21 March 2027. Bob Sinclar, MEDUZA, Sasha, Claptone, Dombresky (Disco Dom), Franky Rizardo and Brunello lead the Phase One line-up, with tickets and travel information available now at sxmfestival.com.
Guy Gerber, Patrick Topping, Dennis Cruz, Chelina Manuhutu, Deer Jade, Matt Sassari and Max Styler are also among the opening names, as the destination electronic event returns to the idea that started it all in 2016: exceptional music, extraordinary places, and enough freedom for the unexpected to happen. There is no single festival site. Over five days, guests move between beaches, villas, clubs, hilltops and unexpected locations across both the French and Dutch sides of the island.
Music still comes first. Rather than chasing the biggest bill possible, SXM has built its identity on a mix of established artists, respected selectors and emerging talent, and founder Julian Prince says every booking has to make sense for the island, the location and the moment. French house icon Bob Sinclar joins global electronic trio MEDUZA and progressive house pioneer Sasha, alongside Claptone, Guy Gerber, Dombresky (Disco Dom) and a newer wave of names shaping the international scene.
Previous editions have welcomed Carl Cox, Jamie Jones, BLOND:ISH, Bonobo and Richie Hawtin, while introducing emerging acts at pivotal points in their careers. Deer Jade is among the returning names, having featured on the 2023 phase two line-up alongside Black Coffee, Loco Dice and CamelPhat. Further artists, parties and anniversary experiences for 2027 are due in the coming months.
A typical day can start on a beach, continue over lunch in a small village, move to a sunset party and end somewhere nobody planned. Guests have travelled from more than 58 countries in recent editions, and the festival leans on that international crowd becoming familiar by the end of the week. Some of the best moments, organisers say, are not on the schedule.
Prince said: “From the beginning, I never wanted SXM to be the biggest festival. I wanted people to go home with stories they would still be telling years later. You come for the music, but then the island takes over. You discover places you didn’t know existed, meet people you never expected to meet, and suddenly you’re watching the sun come up with friends you made two days ago. Ten editions later, that feeling is still there. Protecting it is what matters most to me.”
That relationship with St. Martin has been tested. When Hurricane Irma devastated the island in 2017, the SXM community rallied around the recovery, and the festival came back again after the pandemic. Local crews, suppliers, venues, restaurants, hotels, drivers and businesses on both sides of the island remain central to the event. International guests stay in local hotels and villas, eat in restaurants, rent cars and boats, and spend across the island. For SXM, sustainability is not only environmental. It is about keeping a lasting, positive relationship with the place that hosts it.
The 10th edition is framed as a celebration of the artists, island partners, team members and international community that have shaped the festival since 2016, and as the opening of a second decade. Tickets are on sale now, with more names still to come.
