The Devil Wears Prada have announced their ninth studio album Flowers, arriving 14 November 2025 via Solid State Records. The band have released two new singles, “Where the Flowers Never Grow” and “Wave,” alongside a short film titled That Same Place Where The Flowers Never Grow. The album marks a significant milestone for the metalcore band, who continue to push creative boundaries more than two decades into their career.
Flowers represents The Devil Wears Prada at their creative peak, addressing themes of grief, struggle, and personal growth. The album was recorded during sessions in a VRBO in Rodgers, Arkansas, with additional work completed in Los Angeles, and features production collaborations with renowned producers including Tyler Smyth (I Prevail, Falling In Reverse), Austin Coupe, Colin Brittain (Linkin Park, Papa Roach), Fit For A King’s Bobby Lynge, and Marshall Gallagher. Zakk Cervini handled mixing and mastering duties. The band recently achieved a major career milestone with “For You,” becoming their first-ever track to chart on both the Mediabase and Billboard Active Rock charts.
Vocalist Mike Hranica and guitarist Jeremy DePoyster have detailed the album’s lyrical direction. “Where The Flowers Never Grow” addresses mental health struggles and the gap between external success and internal darkness. “The hours spent away from the stage and the bright lights can be a lonely place,” DePoyster explained. “The lyrics are a reckoning with how you can receive everything you thought you wanted, but you still have to reckon with the intrusive thoughts of emptiness and old wounds that you’re trying to find a way to heal.”
DePoyster further described Flowers as “20 years into a journey,” reflecting on “the highs, the lows, a reckoning with what it means be a human catapulting through the chaos that life throws at us continually.” The album showcases the band at their peak in songwriting, raw lyricism, and introspection. The Devil Wears Prada have spent two decades establishing themselves as vital forces in heavy music, with previous releases including the fan-favourite With Roots Above and Branches Below (2009), which Revolver readers named one of the 5 Greatest Metalcore Albums, alongside the Zombie EP (2010) and Dead Throne (2011), both of which debuted in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200. Their 2021 album ZII marked their sixth straight Top 5 entry on the Billboard Top Hard Rock Albums Chart. The band have accumulated nearly half-a-billion streams across their career.
Following the Summer of Loud tour, which saw the band playing amphitheaters throughout the summer, The Devil Wears Prada will support Ice Nine Kills and Creeper on an extensive UK and EU arena tour this winter. The band feature Mike Hranica on vocals, Jeremy DePoyster on guitar and clean vocals, Kyle Sipress on guitar, Jonathan Gering on keys, synths, programming and percussion, and Giuseppe Capolupo on drums.
