Coldplay takes the crown

Securing the top spot with a whopping 22,000 searches per month is Coldplay. This comes after the recent success with their Wembley Stadium shows during the third leg of their ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour’ in August of last year. The tour was a hit on social media with the hashtag #coldplaywembley racking in a staggering 244 million views on TikTok.
The alternative pop and rock band is set to continue the tour this year with shows in Manchester and Cardiff in May and June.
Bruce Springsteen takes second place
With the UK 2023 tour dates due to be announced but still racking in 11,754 searches per month, Bruce Springsteen has Brits desperate to see him live.
Building on the anticipation, The Boss’s upcoming tour will mark the first live show for him and The E Street Band since the conclusion of their 14-month, worldwide tour in 2017.
Arctic Monkeys come third

Rounding off the top three is the Arctic Monkeys with 11,501 searches per month. The alternative rock and indie music band will be playing an incredible 15 shows across the UK and Ireland this year.
Taylor Swift and Harry Styles bag fourth place
It’s no surprise that Taylor Swift and Harry Styles are competing for 4th place with fans searching 6,600 times a month. Both artists have had record-breaking years with the 2022 releases of their albums, ‘Midnights’ and ‘Harry’s House’.
Taylor’s announcement of her 2023 ‘The Eras Tour’ sent fans into a tailspin with UK shows yet to be confirmed. Harry’s ‘Love On Tour’ shows are set to continue this year with numerous dates throughout the Spring.
Skiddle’s top tips for securing sought after tickets:
We all know how hard it can be to snag tickets for your fave band or artist when it feels like the whole world also wants to see them. Lisa Braithwaite, music expert at Skiddle, has shared her top tips for purchasing in-demand tickets.
Early bird gets the worm
Look out for any pre-sale or early bird access opportunities for the show you’re interested in getting tickets for. Signing up for notifications ensures you don’t miss any sale opportunities. Skiddle’s ‘Remind Me’ feature allows you to sign up for notifications on events you are interested in before tickets have gone on general sale.
Be prepared
Set alarms or reminders up to 30 mins before the tickets are due to go on sale to allow time to join the virtual queue. Get your laptop, phone or whatever device you want to purchase the tickets on loaded up and ready to go. Ensure your device is connected to wifi to minimise the chances of anything going wrong.
Maximise your chances
Load up a second device you could use to try and purchase the tickets on. If you have a friend that’s available, see if they can also log on to try and bag the tickets on your behalf.
Smooth sailing
You may find that you have a time limit to complete the purchase once you have selected your tickets. Make sure that you are logged into a pre-created account, with your card details saved so that you can checkout quickly without having to search for your wallet and input card details.
Don’t lose faith
If you don’t manage to secure tickets in the first release don’t be disheartened. Many artists will have multiple ticket sale releases and will often announce additional show dates due to the large demand. Pro tip: sign up for the show waiting list if there is one to be notified of any additional ticket sale dates.
