Applications to volunteer at Boomtown 2019 are now open

Boomtown Fair have opened volunteering applications for Chapter 11 in August 2019, alongside the release of a Boomtown volunteering promo video.

Boomtown are one of many festivals that now recruit volunteers directly, working alongside volunteers from other organisations on site. In 2018, these included MyCause, Oxfam, and Festaff.

Volunteers are required to pay a deposit of £264 and work three 8 hour shifts throughout the five days of the festival. Once you’ve completed your shifts, this deposit will be returned, minus an admin fee.

Boomtown volunteers are rewarded with a free hot meal voucher for each shift worked and have access to a secure volunteer campsite and crew parking. They also get dedicated toilets and showers and a free programme and handbook.

The volunteer wristband also gives access to the crew bar with the cheapest pints on site, and if you return your hi-vis tabard on time, you’ll be rewarded with an exclusive Boomtown volunteer t-shirt.

If you’d rather splash the cash on a ticket, they went on sale last month.
