Bloodstock have revealed details of next year’s ‘Metal 2 The Masses’ contest, giving grassroots bands the chance to secure a spot on the line-up.
Bloodstock and sponsor Hobgoblin will once again be aiming to track down the best, hot new metal talent in the months ahead of the festival.
One winner from each of 25 UK regions will secure a spot on the New Blood stage. Three more winners will be chosen from Ireland, Norway and Poland.
All bands chosen to play through ‘Metal 2 The Masses’ will be included on a free CD to be given away at Bloodstock next August, courtesy of CRAM Duplication.
The first regional final takes place in Edinburgh on April 11th 2020, following heats across Scotland. A full list of dates and venues can be found here on the Bloodstock website. There’s also an official Facebook group for the competition.
Last month, Bloodstock organisers announced Devil Townsend will headline the festival’s main stage, with other bands confirmed including Skindred, Black Dahlia Murder, Jinjer and Gloryhammer.
Discounted early bird tickets for Bloodstock 2020 are currently on sale, along with VIP, child and car parking tickets. Campervan tickets have already sold out.
Bloodstock 2020 takes place at Catton Park, Derbyshire from 6th-9th August 2020. For more info, head to the Bloodstock website.
