With a fortnight left until Download Festival’s iconic 20th-anniversary celebration, the District X line-up has been revealed. The special four-day edition, taking place from 8th to 11th June at Donington Park, promises a diverse array of performances, including secret band sets, live podcasts, DJ sets, and a comedy evening.
The headline acts this year are Bring Me The Horizon, Slipknot, and Metallica, with the latter scheduled to perform two distinct headline sets. Tickets for the event are completely sold out.
Among the highlights of this year’s District X programme are DJ sets by The Blackout, Wargasm, Zoe London, Nova Twins x On Wednesdays We Wear Black, Daniel P Carter, and Alyx Holcombe. The festivities will kick off on Wednesday night with Get Your Rocks Off, followed by a rotating lineup of UK club nights, including Uprawr, Facedown, and Girl Power.
Building on the successful introduction of live podcasts in 2022, the Sappenin Podcast, On Wednesdays We Wear Black, and Life In The Stocks are scheduled for this year. Matt Stocks, the host of Life In The Stocks, will feature special guest Matthew Pritchard of Dirty Sanchez.
Moreover, the Sidesplitter will present a comedy evening on Wednesday, with participants from The Comedy Store, Kunt & The Gang, among others. Additionally, there will be rock fitness classes, Drag Emo Karaoke, and activities for children under the Rock Kids banner.
The festival will also include collaborations with Mary Wyatt, Download Lava (Lou’s Hot Sauce), and Parabellum. Visitors will be able to explore these and other features at the Download Megastore, which will also showcase Download garden gnomes and gaming chairs. The festival area will have a dedicated chill-out space for attendees to socialise, play arcade games, and immerse themselves in the festival atmosphere.
