End of the Road has revealed the full cinema programme for its 20th anniversary edition, presented in partnership with Curzon and featuring guest curators Andrea Arnold, Ben Wheatley, Invada Records’ Geoff Barrow and Margeaux Labat.
The milestone edition, headlined by Pulp, CMAT, Mac DeMarco and Geese, takes place from 3 to 6 September at Larmer Tree Gardens on the Dorset-Wiltshire border, with other highlights including Super Furry Animals, Beverly Glenn-Copeland, Earl Sweatshirt & MIKE, Kurt Vile & The Violators, Ty Segall, Fat Dog, caroline, YHWH Nailgun, Just Mustard and Factory Floor. With just over a month to go until the festival, organisers say careful curation runs through every corner of the site, and the cinema programme is no exception, having come into its own last year with a new dedicated space and a striking, David Lynch-inspired entrance built to mark the filmmaker’s passing.
Brooklyn-based music curator and NTS Radio host Margeaux Labat opens the weekend on Thursday, with a selection spanning gritty 70s American classics, meta-theatrical arthouse and intimate documentary portraits, including Irma Vep, Klute and The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover. On Friday, Ben Wheatley (who also makes his festival debut as musical alter-ego Dave Welder the night before) and Andy Starke of Rook Films take charge, spotlighting the UK’s filmmaking talent with a line-up that includes The Haunted Moustache and Normal, both followed by Q&As, alongside Speed Racer and a late-night showing of Bulk introduced by Wheatley himself.
Saturday belongs to Invada Records, the label founded by Portishead and Beak> musician Geoff Barrow, who brings festival premieres and live Q&As featuring Edith Bowman, Gazelle Twin, Mark Jenkin and Ben Salisbury, alongside screenings of Drive, Annihilation and Mandy. That same morning, the Big Top hosts a special screening of Rose of Nevada with a live score performed by The Cornish Sound Unit, the collaborative project of BAFTA-winning filmmaker Mark Jenkin and musician Dion Star, originally commissioned by the BFI for Jenkin’s folk-horror film Enys Men.
Academy Award-winning filmmaker Andrea Arnold, known for Bird, Fish Tank and Wasp, returns to curate for a third consecutive year, closing out the weekend on Sunday with a programme including The Wizard Of Oz, Badlands and Mad Max: Fury Road, alongside a Q&A session and a DJ set on the festival’s Boat stage. All screenings across the weekend will have SDH subtitles or closed captions where available.
The Cinema programme is presented in partnership with Curzon, whose cinemas, distribution arm and streaming service are known for curating outstanding cinema from around the world, an ethos organisers say aligns closely with End of the Road’s own approach to programming. Now in its 20th year, the festival remains one of the summer’s most loved events, taking place across five stages within the grounds of a Victorian pleasure garden and welcoming 15,000 attendees each weekend, alongside a comedy and literature programme and an array of independent food and drink stalls.

End of the Road is also highlighting its ongoing commitment to sustainability and inclusivity as part of the 2026 edition, with dedicated Safer Spaces initiatives for attendees, workers and performers, and a range of environmental measures including plastic waste reduction, clean drinking water provision and investment in rewilding and reforestation projects.
