Field Maneuvers festival launched their “Save FM” crowdfunder on 30th September, in a bid to keep the festival afloat so it can continue to take place. The festival team are pleased to share that they have hit their original target, and are now in a ‘stretch target’ zone, which will help them to cover additional losses and assist with repayments for a covid bounce back loan.
A troubling time for the wider music, festival and live events industry, the post-pandemic return of FM in 2022 came with its own challenges – increased overheads, a new site, the cost-of-living crisis, roll-over tickets and life changes for ticket holders since 2019 are just some of the factors affecting the festival. Despite being sold out, they experienced a 30% drop-off in attendance and a reduced income from punters onsite; leaving Field Maneuvers in a position where they needed to recover a minimum of £40,000 to ensure the festival had a future. Long recognised as one of the UK’s most important festivals, adored globally by artists, DJs, and dancers, the widespread support has seen them reach the target.
Field Maneuvers’ Save FM crowd-funder will run for four more days. Donation reward packages start from £20 from limited edition merch packages from to Fruit Machine Tutorials, A VIP party in the FM Pub (The Pack It Inn) and a private luxury portaloo at FM2023.

This has been a rollercoaster, from the high of putting on our best party, to the low of facing financial ruin, to the high that is having your community rally around you. Thank you FM fam, from the bottom of our hearts. This campaign has confirmed that FM definitely has a future.
We’ve decided to set a stretch target for two reasons.”
1. Because, to be totally honest, the original amount was to just get us out of a hole. We still have an overdraft and a covid bounceback loan that needs to be paid.
