Florence + The Machine has been confirmed as the headline new addition to Open’er Festival 2026, leading a fresh wave of acts joining one of Europe’s most celebrated summer events. The Polish festival returns to Gdynia from 1st–4th July 2026, with tickets on sale now at opener.pl.
Florence Welch’s latest project, Everybody Scream — her sixth studio album — marks a bold new chapter following the life-saving surgery that curtailed her Dance Fever Tour. The recovery process is said to have taken Welch deep into themes of spiritual mysticism, witchcraft and folk horror, all of which feed into a live show that has already earned extraordinary reviews on the road. Having headlined Boardmasters 2023 to thunderous acclaim, and with a slot headlining Reading & Leeds 2026 also confirmed, her Open’er appearance is shaping up to be one of the unmissable performances of this summer.
The broader wave of new additions is equally compelling. Jehnny Beth — best known as the lead singer of incendiary post-punk outfit Savages — brings her second solo album You Heartbreaker, You to Open’er, along with a reputation for visceral, all-encompassing live performances that have made her one of the defining figures of the past decade. Meanwhile, psychedelic cult duo Panda Bear & Sonic Boom make their long-awaited return to the stage for the first time since 2023 — the pair, formed from Animal Collective’s Noah Lennox and Spacemen 3’s Pete Kember, released their collaborative album RESET in 2022 and their reunion this summer is a serious pull for devotees of leftfield music.

Joy (Anonymous) round out the headline new names, bringing euphoric, feel-good electronica to Gdynia hot off the back of collaborations with Fred again… and The Blessed Madonna. The act is perfectly primed for a summer festival crowd — they previously closed the Land Of Saints stage at Boardmasters 2023 alongside Four Tet, and have the kind of spontaneous, joyful energy made for outdoor stages.
The remaining new additions underline Open’er’s commitment to the full breadth of contemporary music. Ireland’s Just Mustard bring crunching shoe-gaze and noise-rock, while the electroclash rave energy of Bassvictim and the swooning pop earnestness of Sadie Jean cater to opposite ends of the sonic spectrum. Ukraine’s Hypen Dash offer vital, genre-blending defiance, Polish electro act Łaszewo adds a local dimension to the bill, and the buzzing underground momentum of supermodel* represents the kind of discovery that Open’er has always prided itself on delivering.
These latest names join an already formidable line-up for 2026. The Cure, Calvin Harris, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and The xx sit at the top of the bill, with David Byrne, Halsey, Addison Rae, Reneé Rapp, PinkPantheress, Zara Larsson, Ethel Cain, Clipse, IDLES, Teddy Swims, Kneecap, Jade, Martin Garrix, Matt Berninger and Audrey Nuna all already confirmed, among many more.
