Free Isle of Wight Festival Tickets: our exclusive entry guide

Most music festivals offer free entry in return for various types of volunteering, selling tickets to friends, through paid work at the event, and by countless other means. Check out our exclusive guide to securing free Isle of Wight Festival tickets.

Isle of Wight Festival 2018 takes place over 21st – 24th June at Seaclose Park, naturally, on the Isle of Wight. Free weekend wristbands are primarily offered through FESTAFF, who will be providing information personnel and stewards for the event.

The Isle of Wight Festival is in it’s 50th anniversary year, and welcomes artists including Depeche Mode, The Killers, Kasabian, Liam Gallagher, and The Script.

How to: Get Free Isle of Wight Festival Tickets

Volunteering with FESTAFF

Fans can secure free tickets to Isle of Wight Festival in return for volunteering with FESTAFF. Volunteers will be required to complete three eight hour shifts over the weekend of the event, and in return will be given a full weekend wristband absolutely free!

The volunteering roles available at Isle of Wight Festival include bar work, wristband checking, and information personnel. Specific shifts are not confirmed until on site, in contrast to other festival volunteering organisations who often confirm your shifts in advance. This would allow you to plan your weekend and ensure you see your favourite bands.

However, one big advantage of volunteering with FESTAFF is they only charge a £20 deposit to applicants, which is refunded on site. Whilst they do charge a £15 administration fee on top, other volunteering organisations can charge deposits of up to £200 which may not be refunded for months after the event.

To apply for free Isle of Wight Festival tickets, in return for three shifts of volunteering, head to the FESTAFF website and fill out the online application form. FESTAFF’s full list of events includes:

  • Common People
  • Isle of Wight
  • Kendal Calling
  • Camp Bestival
  • Bestival
  • Carfest
  • Creamfields
  • Rewind
  • Bloodstock

Those volunteering with FESTAFF for free Isle of Wight Festival tickets will also be given free staff car parking passes.
