If you were lucky enough to secure tickets when Glastonbury 2023 sold out this weekend, you might be thinking about splashing out on one of the festival’s pre-pitched camping options. These include Worthy View, the Tipis, and the recently-added Sticklinch campsite.
All Glastonbury tickets already include access to the festival’s countless camping fields for those bringing their own equipment, but if you’d rather not worry about carrying a tent across the country on public transport you can instead arrive to a complete set-up ready to go.
Worthy View is Glasto’s well-established premium campsite, located on the hill above The Park area of the festival. The colour-coordinated rows of bright tents, which you can see clearly in satellite images, include a range of pre-bookable scout tents for two to eight people and four-person bell tents.
Sticklinch was first announced as an addition for 2020 before Covid forced the cancellation of the next two festivals. It then finally made its debut at this summer’s event and now resides in the fields formerly occupied by Campervans West. Unlike Worthy View, where you’ll need to walk up a steep hill to get back to camp, Sticklinch campers instead enjoy “a more gently undulating walk to the Festival site, ideal for those who find the climb to Worthy View challenging.”
The Tipis are located centrally within the festival and each sleep up to six adults. They’re split over two locations with some near the Stone Circle and others next to The Park area. They all come unfurnished, so you’ll still need to bring everything else you need, like your sleeping bag.
All of Glastonbury’s pre-pitched accommodation must be booked in advance with most selling out quickly after going on sale.
Worthy View
2023 prices
Glastonbury organisers have confirmed that Worthy View’s 2023 pricing won’t be revealed until early next year. We’ve provided last year’s pricing below, but with some of these having been sold way back in 2020 it’s likely prices will increase this time around.
2022 prices
These prices are for the whole tent so can be split between the number of people staying in it – though naturally they’ll all need to have their own festival ticket.
- 2-person scout tent: £325 (£162.50 each)
- 4-person scout tent: £625 (£156.25 each)
- 6-person scout tent: £950 (£158.33 each)
- 8-person scout tent: £1150 (£143.75 each)
- 4-person bell tent: £725 (£181.25 each)
The Tipis
Price
We don’t know when the pricing for 2023’s Tipis will be confirmed. Glastonbury organisers are due to reveal more information on all the accommodation options this autumn, so it might not be far away, but it could also be alongside the Worthy View pricing early next year – or even later.
We do know they cost £1150 for up to 6 adults last time around, meaning if you filled your Tipi it was around £191 per person.
