Green Man has announced a special lineup launch event at The Lexington in London on 5th March at 7pm, featuring performances from three artists confirmed for the 2026 festival. South London post-punk outfit Shame will headline the evening, supported by Cardiff five-piece Casual Smart and London-based artist and producer Jessica Winter, with late-night DJs to follow.
The event celebrates another instant sell-out for the Welsh festival, with all tickets for Green Man 2026 selling out on the day of release. Attendees at The Lexington will have the exclusive opportunity to enter a raffle to win two tickets to this year’s sold-out festival, which takes place from 20th-23rd August 2026 in the Black Mountains.
Tickets for the launch event are available now via Dice, with the full 2026 lineup set to be revealed soon. The showcase offers fans a carefully curated preview of what to expect from this year’s festival programming, which has already generated significant anticipation following the rapid sell-out.
Green Man 2026 will return to the iconic Black Mountains in the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park in Wales, hosting 25,000 attendees per day across its four-day run. While there will be no additional ticket release for the main festival, resale tickets may be purchased exclusively via Green Man’s official ticket reseller, Tixel.
The 2026 edition follows one of the festival’s most acclaimed years to date, with the 2025 event garnering widespread praise and five-star reviews from The Guardian, The Times, The Independent, The London Standard, and Rolling Stone UK. The Guardian described it as having “a batting average still at a world-beating level,” while Rolling Stone UK called it “another triumph for the UK’s best independent festival.”
Now entering its third decade, Green Man remains one of only three large independent festivals in the UK and the only major UK festival where a woman has controlling ownership. The festival spans 16 stages offering music, comedy, science, live interviews, circus, cinema, wellness activities, and its own Welsh beer festival in the Courtyard.
Family-friendly programming includes the Little Folk area offering free activities for children aged 0-11, featuring the annual Little Folk parade where young attendees can showcase their Green Man costumes and creations. Meanwhile, Somewhere provides 12-17 year olds with creative workshops, games, and imaginative activities.
The festival generates £28 million into the Welsh economy and notably refuses sponsorship to retain programming freedom and support independent Welsh food and beverage producers. Green Man has been awarded a Gold Charter by Attitude is Everything for accessibility improvements and was the first UK festival to pilot an on-site science engagement area.
