Liverpool’s On the Waterfront will return to the Pier Head from Thursday 17 to Sunday 20 June 2027, with hometown favourite Jamie Webster named as the first headliner. He plays Friday 18 June, joined by fellow Liverpool band The Cheap Thrills.
Webster is back on the banks of the Mersey for a huge hometown show. Since his debut album, We Get By, topped the UK Folk Albums Chart in 2020, he has built a devoted following on passionate live sets and songs including Weekend In Paradise, plus tracks from his second album, Moments. The Cheap Thrills add their indie rock set to the same bill, with more Friday acts still to come.
He has played this site before. Webster headlined two nights of On the Waterfront in June 2023, with that Friday bill also including The Coral, Red Rum Club, Brooke Combe and Michael Head and The Red Elastic Band. Later editions of the same series have included a huge hometown turn from The Wombats in 2025 and a final English show from The Wolfe Tones.
Friday’s show runs from 5pm to 11pm, with last entry at 7.30pm. It is a standing event at Pier Head, Liverpool, L3 1HN. Tickets start from £40 plus booking fee. The night is all ages, subject to licence. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult, with a maximum of two children per adult.
Presale access opened at 10am on Wednesday 28 October through the On the Waterfront website. General sale is at 10am (GMT) on Friday 30 October.
The other nights are still to be confirmed.
