While confirming the theme for 2020 will be ‘Kendal Calling goes to the Arcade‘, organisers have revealed the line-up for this summer’s festival will be announced
on Monday night.
UPDATE: On Saturday morning, organisers said the line-up announcement will now happen on Wednesday night instead of Monday, as it: “levels-up with even more artists”
You’ll need to listen to Absolute Radio from 6pm to hear the headliners first, before the full line-up drops at 6:15pm.
As part of the retro arcade theme, Kendal Calling 2020 is said to feature “over 50 retro arcade games, an immersive games parade, legendary characters and crazy challengers”. Organisers encourage attendees to dress for a theme each year, with dinosaurs invading the site last year as part of ‘Kendal Calling goes Jurassic‘.
Listen to Absolute Radio online here for Kendal Calling news from 6pm
Monday 27th Wednesday 29th January. The line-up was announced in a similar fashion around the same time last year, though it was hosted by Radio X rather than Absolute.
As part of an effort to go plastic-free, Kendal Calling gave away 10,000 reusable water bottles last year in partnership with United Utilities. A fans group on Facebook, ‘Kendal’s Calling You‘, often raises thousands of pounds for charity selling custom wristbands ahead of the festival.
Kendal Calling returns to it’s beautiful Lake District home at Lowther Deer Park from Thursday 30th July to Sunday 2nd August 2020. Tickets are currently on sale, with adult weekend camping tickets just £139 + fees.
