Exclusive aerial photos of Latitude Festival 2019 from the ‘Jesus plane’

Fans at Latitude Festival this weekend spotted a plane flying overhead with the banner: “Jesus calls, will you follow?“, on behalf of FlyJesus. Festivals they’ve already flown over this summer include Download, Isle of Wight and TRNSMT, in a continuation of a project that started last year.

TheFestivals has been sent the collection of aerial photos below, taken from the plane as it flew over Latitude 2019.

FlyJesus, operated by Escalls Methodist Church, was founded by activist Christine Bonfield. She was “feeling distraught over the spiritual state of our country” when God told her: “Get a plane, tie a banner with my message on it and fly the length and breadth of the country.”

TheFestivals has been provided with the above video, which shows the plane picking up the banner while flying. Christine told us this: “is quite a tricky operation to pick up the banner and required a great deal of skill.”

The group flew a banner reading “Jesus loves every one of you” over around a dozen festivals last summer. Christine told TheFestivals they thought the flights were finished: “but then God revealed he wanted people to be able to respond to His love and follow Him.”

crowdfunding page for the FlyJesus project has raised over £76,000 to date.
