A brand new open-air music venue is set to open on the banks of the Thames this August, with Magazine Open-Air revealing the full line-up for its inaugural six-show season at Greenwich Peninsula.
Built beside Magazine London, the series will run across two weekends from Friday 14 August, featuring a bespoke roofless stage designed by Paris studio Matière Noire, whose past work includes scenography for Dekmantel and Keinemusik at Berlin’s Tempelhof. The venue promises a festival-scale experience that uses London’s skyline as a backdrop, with shows running from afternoon into dusk so the changing light becomes part of each performance.
Opening night on Friday 14 August brings Our House to Greenwich Peninsula, headlined by Meduza and James Hype alongside Cristoph, Dombresky, and Layla Benitez b2b Brina Knauss, with a special guest slot from Nora En Pure. It’s not the first time Meduza and James Hype have joined forces under the Our House banner for promoters Broadwick Live, having previously headlined Our House at Drumsheds during the North London venue’s 2024 season.
The following day, Saturday 15 August, sees Josh Baker b2b Max Dean lead a showcase of the UK’s rising house and tech house talent, with support acts still to be announced. Sunday 16 August turns to 15 Years: The Soulection Experience, one of two global events marking the influential collective’s anniversary, featuring Joe Kay, DJ Tunez, Wayne Wonder, Sango, D Double E, Qendresa, Shaka Lion and Karen Nyame KG.
The second weekend opens with Amelie Lens b2b Sara Landry on Friday 21 August, billed as a landmark UK debut back-to-back set from two of techno’s most in-demand names, supported by SPFDJ, DAX J, Grace Dahl and DJ Hyperdrive. Amelie Lens has previously brought her EXHALE London series to Broadwick Live’s Drumsheds venue, making her Greenwich Peninsula booking a continuation of that relationship.
Saturday 22 August belongs to Purple Disco Machine, delivering a disco-infused celebration alongside Flight Facilities, Jayda G, David Bay b2b Julia Sandstrom and special guest Kirollus. The inaugural season then closes on Sunday 23 August with an RNB & Slow Jams event, promising an open-air soundtrack of R&B and soul as the sun sets over the capital, with a full line-up still to be confirmed.
Food and drink will also play a central role in the experience, with Shapes Bar and Mangal II returning to site following their success at Silverworks Island, joined by a handpicked selection of independent traders and festival favourites.
Luke Huxham, Managing Director at Broadwick Live, said the series has been built entirely around the audience experience. “Every decision, from the stage and production to the way the site interacts with London’s skyline, has been made with purpose,” he said. “We wanted to create something that feels unique to this location, where the city becomes part of the performance and every show offers a different perspective on contemporary club culture.”
Tickets for all six shows are on sale now, with each event running to a 22:00 curfew.
