The Moseley Folk and Arts Festival is set to return to the beautiful Moseley Park in 2020 on 4th-6th Sept, and they have just announced their Saturday headliner: Passenger.
Summer 2020 will celebrate the 15th edition of the festival, which showcases a wealth of unsigned acts amongst brilliant international artists.
Every year people from across Birmingham and across the UK flock to the verdant park setting to witness a heady mix of traditional, contemporary and experimental folk, world and roots music. Tickets will be going on sale for Moseley Folk & Arts at 10am on Friday 22nd November 2019 via www.moseleyfolk.co.uk
And the festival’s first headliner is rather special indeed. The Ivor Novello-winning folk-rock songwriter, Passenger, has come a long way since the release of his first album, Wicked Man’s Rest, back in 2007. Taking in a truly crazy odyssey, from busking to being in a full band and now a solo singer, he has traversed an incredible journey to be where he is today: one of the most sought after artists and one of the biggest download stars on Youtube and Spotify, with many billions of plays, capped by his most recent album, this year’s Sometimes It’s Something, Sometimes It’s Nothing At All.
Moseley Folk & Arts Festival is produced by the team behind Mostly Jazz, Funk & Soul Festival and Lunar Festival. Last year’s Moseley Folk Festival saw Don Mclean, Jake Bugg, The Zutons, Public Service Broadcasting, Lucy Rose, Richard Thompson, Edwyn Collins plus many more on the bill.
