Once Upon a Time in the West returns to Wessex for 2018

Back for it’s fifth year, Once Upon a Time In The West Festival (or OUT West) returns to Deepest Wessex for a party of discernible excellence. Nominated for “Best Small Festival” & “Grass Roots Award” at the UK Festival Awards.

Festival organiser Flounder Murray told TheFestivals.UK: “Whilst OUT West is synonymous with a quality line-up, it’s not all about the music. It’s the friendly, party vibe that we create.. and that’s all of us – Crew, Public, Bands. There is no “back-stage” for VIP’s – the whole party is out the front and accessible to everyone. It’s a proper West Country Party.”

An experience borne of Boomtown & Glastonbury

The team – based in Frome and Bath in Somerset combine elements of the areas that they run at Glastonbury & Boomtown to bring along a unique experience at a grass-roots level.

“The overall plan is to have a party that we would want to goto with a friendly vibe and featuring acts that you wouldn’t normally be able to see at an event of this size. We’ve been in the industry for 14+years and over that time have booked across many festivals, enabling us to get acts that would normally be gracing the stages of much bigger events.
Expect local, national and international acts from as far afield as the USA & Europe featuring Swing, Ska, Dub, Folk, Punk, Filthy Blues, Twisted Country, Rockabilly, Bluegrass and
beyond. On top of this there’s workshops, kids entertainment, Game Shows, quality food, drinks at pub prices, beautiful views and possibly the best vibe in The West…”

OUT West: Line-up and Tickets

The intimate, 1500 capacity festival takes place over the weekend of 13th-15th July, with ‘Tier 3’ OUT West tickets currently available for as little as £85.

OUT West’s line-up has also been confirmed, and is set to feature Los Albertos, Ferocious Dog, and Smerins Anti- Social Club. The full line-up can be viewed on OUT West’s website here.
