Rise Festival is in full swing as it’s taken over Les Deux Alpes for the eighth time. This year is Rise’s biggest year yet, with over 6,000 revellers here who have been hitting the slopes by day, and enjoying the music and performances by night.
Headliners so far have included the legendary Chase & Status, Patrick Topping, Shy FX and Eats Everything to name a few. Monday saw a takeover of every stage by Eats Everything his History of Rave concept – a celebration of rave in all its forms. Meanwhile on Wednesday, Sigma performed a secret set on top of the mountain. The multi-platinum Grammy-nominated Sister Sledge and Sigma will be closing the festival tonight.

Rise Festival opens the Winter Ski season every year and is known as the party on top of the world and is the biggest independent ski festival in Europe. It’s an action-packed week of snow, music and festivities held in the incredible snow-covered village of Les 2 Alpes, France.
Tom, 27 from Manchester who has been to Rise twice before said: “I love Rise Festival because it’s got so much to offer – incredible skiing in the day, amazing Apres both up and down the mountain in the afternoon, followed by massive headliners in the evenings. It’s such a fun opportunity to go away with your mates before Christmas and get out of your comfort zone a little bit! We’re having the best time and we can’t wait to come again next year!”
Caroline, 24, who has never skied before said: “As a total beginner, I was initially a little nervous about coming out here but the resort is amazing – there are so many easy runs for beginners like me, and also plenty of more advanced runs for some of my friends who are seasoned-pros!”
