Roundhouse Rising returns with 18 shows from emerging talent

Roundhouse Rising

The Roundhouse has revealed the line-up for Roundhouse Rising, a five month season of 18 shows and gigs spotlighting breakthrough UK talent in music, theatre, spoken word and beyond. It runs from October 2026 to February 2027 in the newly renamed Davey Studio at the Camden youth charity and independent multi-arts venue.

The season has been curated from submissions by participants in the Roundhouse youth programme, and will take in spoken word, immersive gig-theatre, cabaret, live podcasts, club nights and album launches. The studio has previously hosted early career performances from Little Simz, Kae Tempest and Inua Ellams, and the venue is billing Rising as a launchpad for the next generation of creatives.

Roundhouse Rising was previously folded into Roundhouse Three Sixty, the 2025 festival that also drew on In the Round and The Last Word. It now returns as a standalone season in the flexible studio space, with tickets starting from £5.

Work premiering includes Eliezer Gore’s Last Orders, which follows a viral YouTuber accused of profiting off content about London’s poorest residents, Eleanor Cousins Brown’s Brickwork, a night of poetry celebrating UK estates, and Above The Fray, a night of contemporary chamber music from the Jasmine Quartet with DJ Maiyanaya.

Daisy Heath, Executive Producer at the Roundhouse, said: “We developed Roundhouse Rising in response to what the young musicians and artists that are part of our youth programmes have told us. At a time when it is increasingly difficult to make work on their own terms and get it in front of audiences, we are really excited that each year during Roundhouse Rising this flexible studio space will play host to the most incredible range of events all created by Roundhouse young creatives.”

She added: “The calibre of submissions for this season made it really clear that young people have the talent and ambition, what they need is space and support, from us here at the Roundhouse, but also from audiences and the wider industry.”

lulu melons, who is bringing Lulu’s Dinner Party to the season, said: “Being a Roundhouse Resident Artist has been invaluable in the practice of making my ideas into tangible, feelable things. It seems almost perfect, then, that they’d play host to my first conceptual event, and go along with my ideas, no matter how wild. I’m beyond excited to be part of a season dedicated to actuating so much imagination and creativity.”

Daze Hingorani, who will perform Funeral for a Fox, said: “The Roundhouse has been such a powerhouse in helping me find my feet as an artist. It’s so fun to return for the Roundhouse Rising season with something more experimental, it’s such an energising environment to be surrounded by so much support and other incredible artists!”

The Roundhouse youth programme engages more than 10,000 young people every year, with opportunities ranging from casual drop-ins to career focused strands such as Rising. Artists in this season have come through the Resident Artist programme, podcast platform Transmission Roundhouse, the Roundhouse Music Collective and the Roundhouse Poetry Slam.

In 2026 the Roundhouse will mark 20 years since reopening as a youth charity, and reaching 100,000 young people since that reopening. Studios for creatives aged 13 to 25 are available from as little as £1 an hour, while Roundhouse Works supports more than 500 early stage creative freelancers and entrepreneurs aged 18 to 30 each year. The venue will also launch the Young Creatives Commission, a partnership with the Centre for Young Lives to develop a national strategy for expanding creative spaces and opportunities, particularly for young people from underrepresented backgrounds.

Every ticket and drink purchased at the Roundhouse supports its youth programme. The full Roundhouse Rising season is as follows:
