Deer Shed Festival has revealed its second wave of artists for the 2026 event, adding a diverse mix of emerging talent to the summer bill. Taking place from 24th – 26th July 2026 at Baldersby Park in Topcliffe, North Yorkshire, the independent festival continues to shape its lineup with the addition of DEADLETTER, Joshua Idehen, Madra Salach, and Murkage Dave.
These new acts join an already impressive roster of previously announced headliners, including Sleaford Mods, Everything Everything, and Say She She. The festival, known for its family-friendly atmosphere and eclectic curation, has also confirmed that over 60% of tickets have already been sold, following a sell-out 15th-anniversary celebration last year.
Leading the new announcement are DEADLETTER. Originally from Yorkshire and now London-based, the band is known for channelling the energy of The Fall and Gang of Four to create urgent, captivating post-punk. They are joined by Sweden-based, British-born Nigerian spoken word artist Joshua Idehen, a collaborator with The Comet Is Coming and Sons of Kemet, who brings a unique blend of creative influences to the park.
The lineup expansion covers a broad musical spectrum. Fast-rising contemporary folk band Madra Salach will bring their modern take on the Irish trad canon, while Brighton’s ‘wonk pop’ outfit Lime Garden will perform tracks from their acclaimed debut album. Norwich-based collective Brown Horse are set to deliver a blend of country-rock and slacker twang, and genre-defiant songwriter Murkage Dave will showcase his introspective storytelling, honed on tour with Yard Act.
Beyond the main musical draws, a host of other exciting acts have been confirmed today. The list includes Oneda, Seamus Fogarty, Plantoid, Curiosity Shop, Little Grandad, MUCO, James Adrian-Brown, and Kayla Painter.
Megan Evans, Deer Shed Festival Director, commented on the new additions: “We’re thrilled to be announcing even more music for this year’s Deer Shed. Curating our music line-up is one of my favourite parts of the job, and you’ll never see an artist at Deer Shed that we haven’t personally been to see beforehand. I’m so excited about this group of artists and can’t wait for our audience to see them in the park this year.”
While the music lineup grows, Deer Shed is also preparing its renowned non-musical programming. The festival recently announced this year’s theme, “Into The Labyrinth,” which will feature a sprawling maze erected in Baldersby Park—the festival’s most ambitious build to date. Comedy remains a central pillar of the event, with icons Stewart Lee, Adam Buxton, and Rachel Parris previously confirmed as headliners.
