Organisers of Shambala Festival have confirmed tickets for 2023 will go on sale at 1pm today, Wednesday 12th October.
In recent years, Shambala has been selling out faster every time. General admission tickets are always the first to get snapped up, before ‘public transport only’ tickets sell out (as early as January last time!), leaving guided bike ride packages as the only way to grab a ticket. Ahead of this year’s Shambala, the bike rides sold out in March.
Shambala tickets will be sold in three price tiers, with those who buy earliest getting the lowest prices. The cheapest tickets will be just £199 excluding fees, for those buying in the first tier and travelling via a sustainable mode of transport (coach, train or bike). They range up to £259 for a tier 3 general admission ticket.

In every tier, the sustainable travel tickets will be £20 cheaper than the standard tickets and an instalment payment plan will be available. The lower-priced tickets have long been part of the super-sustainable festival, which in August confirmed that for the first time, zero tents were left behind in the fields after campers went home.
It’s the first time those arriving by train have been able to take advantage of the cheaper sustainable travel tickets, with shuttle buses running from both Market Harborough and Long Buckby station. The addition of a Long Buckby shuttle bus should make it easier for anyone coming from the North, North West, West or South West of the UK to reach the festival with less changing trains.
Also for the first time, a guided bike ride will depart from Birmingham which will only take around six hours. Typically, the guided bike rides have been multi-day journeys with camping along the way included. You can read more about the Birmingham ride here. To make way for Birmingham, the Brighton departure has been dropped this year, although it’s still a coach departure point.
Shambala 2023 will take place from Thursday 24th to Sunday 28th August at a secret location in Northamptonshire.
