Aerosmith have released their first new music in more than twelve years, teaming up with Yungblud for a collaborative EP titled One More Time, out today via Capitol Records. The five-track project is available now on digital platforms as well as limited-edition vinyl, CD and cassette, pulling together two generations of rock on a collection of new songs plus a freshly remixed take on classic single Back In The Saddle.
Recorded with producer Matt Schwartz, One More Time features four original tracks co-written by Aerosmith and Yungblud, with Steven Tyler and Yungblud sharing vocals on every song while Joe Perry’s trademark guitar work anchors the sound. Alongside the new material, the EP closes with Back In The Saddle (2025 Mix), which retains the punch of the original recording while boosting its power and pairing Yungblud’s snarling delivery with Tyler’s unmistakable wail.
The EP is led by My Only Angel, first released on 19 September and accompanied by an official visual, which has already given the project serious momentum on rock charts and playlists. Opening with stacked a cappella harmonies from Tyler and Yungblud before building into a driving, guitar-led anthem capped by a Joe Perry solo, the track has topped Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart, held a three-week Top 10 run there, and logged strong positions across Hot Rock, Hot Rock & Alternative and Mainstream Rock Airplay tallies. Since release, it has gone Top 5 at Active Rock radio with over 10,000 spins at more than 75 stations, delivered over two million first-week streams and pushed past 22 million streams in total.
Following the success of the original, Aerosmith and Yungblud revisited the single with My Only Angel (Desert Road Version), a stripped-back reimagining that leans into the song’s emotional core. The new version features a special guest performance from GRAMMY® winner Steve Martin on banjo, after Tyler – a longtime admirer – imagined the instrument’s tone as the perfect way to close a more vulnerable, rootsy take and invited Martin to record his part remotely. The result trades the full-throttle drive of the original for a grounded, textured finale where Martin’s standout banjo solo steers the song to a soulful close, accompanied by a companion visual to match its mood.
Elsewhere on the EP, Problems finds Yungblud’s vocal gliding over cinematic arpeggios and sweeping, soundtrack-ready strings as the song leans into the idea that personal issues fade when you are with the right person. Wild Woman shifts gear into a boogie-tinged, bluesy stomp built on briskly strummed chords and a gritty, call-and-response vocal approach that plays to both Tyler’s classic rock rasp and Yungblud’s raw edge. On A Thousand Days, the project slows into a full-blooded ballad, with Yungblud exploring apocalyptic imagery and regret before Tyler answers with lines about searching for some kind of redemption, highlighting the dramatic push-and-pull between their voices.
The closing Back In The Saddle (2025 Mix) reintroduces one of Aerosmith’s defining tracks to a new generation, preserving its original structure while turning up the intensity and sonic weight. With Yungblud’s aggressive phrasing layered alongside Tyler’s iconic performance, the remix creates a cross-era duet that underlines the project’s core theme of classic rock meeting contemporary attitude. The EP’s visual identity is just as considered, with artwork designed exclusively for the release by Chrome Hearts’ Joe Foti, marking a first full artwork commission of this kind for the luxury brand.
To mark the release of One More Time, a two-day Aerosmith x YUNGBLUD pop-up is taking over Complex LA (433 N Fairfax Ave, Los Angeles, CA) from Friday 21 November through Saturday 22 November. The immersive event will offer exclusive merchandise and collectible music items from both artists, with fans invited to RSVP online for access and a chance to be among the first to pick up physical editions and limited pieces tied to the collaboration.
