El Dorado will be bringing the ultimate festival vibes to the beautiful grounds of Eastnor Castle Deer Park in Herefordshire. After a two-year break due to the pandemic, El Dorado will be welcoming a full roster of talent across techno, disco, reggae, folk and dance with top acts including Groove Armada, Earth, Wind & Fire Experience ft Al Mckay, Hybrid Minds, Nia Archives, Harriet Jaxxon, David Rodigan, Haai and lots more.
For the first time, the festival will be presenting a new feature – Vice City, an immersive, Miami-inspired, insta-worthy neon aesthetic in 6 venues: bringing a slice of Florida to the centre of El Dorado.
Blue Tit’s pop-up will be at the centre of Vice City providing an oasis within the festival and offering bookable, top-tier services from their amazing stylists to leave visitors fresh, well-coiffed and ready to party away. Be it fishtail braids, bubble ponytails or up-dos, the stylists are here to deliver on any hair type and promise everyone will leave looking and feeling fresh.

Ride This Pony
“I would create a very tight ponytail using some gel to finish and smooth all the flyaways! To achieve that the best way is to use special elastic with the hooks where you can twist it around and make sure that everything is very tight. If your hair it’s thick enough, you can use a small strand of the hair and cover it with elastic.
“For bigger thickness, you can use clip-in extensions but you have to make sure that it will match the colour” – Kamila Pruszek, Co-owner & Manager at Blue Tit Portobello.
Dance Perfectly with The Twist
“Firstly, These looks are best suited to very curly/coily hair, and is achieved by twisting 2 strands of hair around one another resulting in a rope-like braid/twist.
“This can be done on hair that is wet/freshly washed and allowed to dry naturally and will give a definition to the curl pattern, and for some hair textures it will elongate the length of the hair. It can also be done on pre-stretched hair (very curly hair that has been dried with the curl pattern ‘stretched’ out from its natural form) then using a setting foam to reset the hair into the new wave/curl pattern.
“The twists/twisted look alone are super cool, and you can get very creative with the sections you take to make it as unique as you like.. Twists are also a great way to protect the hair from becoming overly knotted/tangled.
“Also, the twist out will last in the hair until they are untwisted which will then result in the second look. Which is why I think it’s a great festival look/festival style… you can have/wear the twists for the first day, undo them for day 2 and then do a brushed-out look for day 3?!

Up your festi-game with Bubble-braids (the easy way!)
“Those of you wanting to recreate this look will need some clear elastic hair ties, a pin tail sectioning comb, some sectioning clips and some sort of gel or moose.
“Start off with clean damp hair and split your hair down the middle, apply gel or mousse to to the side of hair you’ll be starting on and brush through with a paddle brush away from the face back down the head, section off a 2 or 3 inch bit of hair and tie with an elastic band into a ponytail, then do another section and ponytail below your first section and continue to do this down the head.
“Now join each ponytail to the one below it and start to puff them out with your fingers to expand the shape of the look, once you’ve got to the end tie off into a pigtail and continue to attach elastic bands 2 or 3 inches apart and puff out the hair using your fingers.
“Once this side is done, do the same on the other side making sure to take the same sized sections so it’ll be even.
“This look is great for a festival as it’ll start in place and not get in your way leaving you more time to enjoy yourself while also looking and feeling cool with your hair off your shoulders. I’d say this look is great for those with medium to thick hair of all textures as it’ll make your hair easier to control and keep it out of your way“ – Sam Hankin, Stylist at Blue Tit Brixton.
Smooth and Sleek is the way forward – especially in those hot tents!
“This box bob slick back is one of the easiest and practical festival trends, cutting into the hairline gives it a sharp look and removes all that hair from the neck for those hot days” – Tom Warr, Blue Tit Dalston.
“In the salon the trend for this spring/summer are definitely the coppers and gingers colours and all the shades around this, so definitely warm colours are back (taking over the Ice blonde colours from last season), like for festivals now, the strawberry ginger colour is really popular and multi colours strands as well (especially on haircuts like shags), obviously to achieve these colours, the hairs need to be bleached quiet a lot, as pastels colours require a lot of lift.
“The maintenance is really straightforward, don’t wash your hair too much, use shampoos and conditioners specific for coloured hair and some oil protection for sun and pollution to help preserve the colour, if the colour fades, the best way is to top it up with some semi-permanent colours mixed with conditioner and keep on the hair for at least 20 min after your shampoo” – Federico Cirulli, Co-owner and stylist at Blue Tit Streatham.
