Glastonbury 2019: Gender-balanced line-up revealed for The Rum Shack

A line-up poster has been revealed for The Rum Shack at Glastonbury 2019, complete with set times and finishing with a secret set on Monday morning.

The venue is part of The Common area, who said on Twitter: “50% women, 100% vibes. The Rum Shack’s full line up is out and it is FIYAH.”

Mike Skinner of The Streets, Pengshui, Dutty Moonshine Big Band and Bellatrix are all scheduled to appear, along with a ‘TBA slot‘ at 4am Monday morning.

Organisers said: “At the Rum Shack we take Glastonbury’s legacy as one of the biggest experiments in utopia-creation seriously. This year we’re setting an example we hope the world outside will follow… 50% of the Rum Shack’s line up are women.”

The Rum Shack has it’s own Facebook and Instagram profiles.

When the line-up for The Common area at Glastonbury was revealed last month the venues listed included ‘The Mezcal Yard’; a brand new bar for 2019 serving the Mexican spirit mezcal; an umbrella term for an ancient array of Mexican spirits made from agave. While tequila can only be made from Blue Weber agave, mezcal can be made from over 30 varieties.

The full Glastonbury line-up with stage times was revealed earlier this week, featuring over 2,800 performances over 79 stages.
