Reading Festival 2025: Hour-by-hour weather forecast

Reading Festival crowd

Festival-goers are in for a largely dry and warm weekend at Richfield Avenue, but the Met Office is warning of a significant risk of heavy, thundery showers on Saturday.

As thousands of fans descend on Reading for a weekend headlined by Blink-182, Lana Del Rey, and Fred again.., the weather forecast is looking like a classic festival mix.

While Friday and Sunday are set to be pleasant, all eyes are on a patch of volatile weather predicted for Saturday afternoon. Here’s the breakdown of what to expect, hour by hour.

  • 6:00 PM: Showers expected to continue, potentially thundery. 19°C, 50% chance of rain.
  • 9:00 PM: The rain should clear by the time the headliners are on stage, but it will be a damp evening. 16°C, 20% chance of rain.

Sunday, 24th August

The final day looks much better, with the rain clearing for a dry and bright finish to the festival.

  • 9:00 AM: A bright start after Saturday’s rain, 15°C, 10% chance of rain.
  • 12:00 PM: Sunny intervals and a pleasant breeze, 19°C, <5% chance of rain.
  • 3:00 PM: The afternoon should be perfect festival weather, peaking at 22°C, <5% chance of rain.

In short: pack for sun, but a waterproof jacket and wellies are non-negotiable for Saturday. Don’t get caught out by the afternoon downpour.
