Chase & Status, Florence + The Machine, and Fontaines D.C. have effectively confirmed they will play Reading & Leeds Festival 2026 following a coordinated series of social media posts on Sunday evening. In an unusual move, the artists appear to have launched the festival’s campaign themselves, posting a series of teasers confirmations while the official Reading & Leeds channels remain silent.
UPDATE 9am Monday: The first line-up posters have now been officially revealed confirming six headliners and over a dozen other acts, including Kneecap and Skepta, plus a new Thursday headline slot for Kasabian at Leeds.
Chase & Status provided the most explicit confirmation of the evening. The drum and bass duo posted a video to their Instagram with the unambiguous caption “Headline. R&L. 2026.”, confirming their status as one of the main stage toppers.
Florence + The Machine and Fontaines D.C. quickly followed with their own announcements. Florence Welch’s account posted a story featuring the text “Reading and Leeds 2026 Coming Soon” in the festival’s signature font. Dublin post-punks Fontaines D.C. also posted an official teaser graphic to their verified Instagram story, dispelling earlier suggestions that their involvement was merely an unverified rumour.

The coordinated activity suggests an imminent official announcement. Unofficial festival news source The RandL Mill posted “Monday” late on Saturday night, indicating news could arrive as early as December 1st. However, some fan theories suggest Monday may simply bring a “teaser” announcement to build hype for a full line-up reveal later in the week, likely on BBC Radio 1 .
Tickets for the 2026 festivals are already on sale and have been available for some time, despite the lack of an official poster.
