Erling Haaland is 5/1 with Star Sports to appear on stage with Oasis during their residency of 11 days at the Etihad in 2027, while Pep Guardiola is 6/1 to join the Gallagher brothers at their Barcelona shows.
That would be a different sort of Etihad outing for the Norway striker, whose sprint speed should not be possible according to running analysis, but the bookmaker still fancies him to make it from the pitch to the stage.
The prices land with demand for another chapter of Oasis still running hot. Fans named Oasis the most wanted comeback act of 2027 in a Fanatix survey of 4,002 music fans earlier this year, and the band’s 2027 tour announcement has the run opening at Celtic Park on 21 May. Hotel rates have already surged 471% around rumoured UK dates, and ticket experts had predicted a Monday for the Oasis presale.
Star Sports also go 7/1 that any England footballer joins Oasis on stage during Wonderwall at some point on the tour. The bookmaker points to the song becoming England’s anthem at this summer’s World Cup.
Hello is 2/1 favourite to be the first live song when the tour opens at Celtic Park, ahead of Rock ‘n’ Roll Star at 5/1, with Acquiesce and Columbia both 6/1. The market is settled on the first live song performed. Tracks played from tape or as entrance music do not count.
Oasis are 6/1 to headline Glastonbury in 2027, even though a Pyramid Stage booking is not currently announced, and 4/1 to land the Christmas Number 1 in either 2026 or 2027. A new album in either year is 5/1. Bookmakers have been busy on the band all year, with Oasis recently overtaking Harry Styles in the Bond theme market.
Support specials are headed by Cast at 5/4 to support at Knebworth next September, with Courteeners 6/4 to open the Etihad dates and The Killers 7/1 to support in Las Vegas. Star Sports also go 12/1 that Oasis split up before those Knebworth shows.
Russell Bardon, a spokesperson for Star Sports, said: “We’re expecting a few famous faces to join Oasis on stage during their 2027 tour and make Man City striker Erling Haaland 5/1 to take to the stage at some point during their 11-day residency at the Etihad, while former City manager Pep Guardiola is 6/1 to join them onstage during their Barcelona dates.”
He added: “Wonderwall became England’s anthem at the World Cup this summer, and we’re 7/1 that any Three Lions player joins the Manchester rockers on stage for the chart-topping hit during their 2027 tour. Oasis are 2/1 to announce their 2027 tour start at Celtic Park on May 21st with ‘Hello’, ahead of ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Star’ at 5/1. While not currently announced, Oasis are 6/1 to headline Glastonbury next year, and are 4/1 to have a Christmas Number 1 in 2026 or 2027, but tensions between Liam and Noel are never far below the surface and they are 12/1 to split up before their Knebworth shows in September 2027.”
