Cast tipped to support Oasis at Knebworth return in 2027

Oasis Liam Noel

Cast are the favourites to support Oasis at the band’s four huge Knebworth concerts next September, according to new odds from William Hill. The Britpop band are priced at 5/4 to land a place on the bill when Liam and Noel Gallagher return to the Hertfordshire venue on 11, 12, 18 and 19 September 2027.

The Manic Street Preachers, who played at Oasis’ original 1996 Knebworth shows, follow at 6/4, while The Charlatans are 2/1. Ocean Colour Scene and Kula Shaker are both available at 7/2, with The Chemical Brothers at 4/1 to join the celebrations.

It comes after Oasis confirmed their 2027 world tour, ending months of fevered speculation around another Knebworth appearance. The return will come 31 years after the Gallagher brothers played two landmark shows at the venue in August 1996, with an estimated 250,000 people attending across the weekend.

Cast would make for an especially fitting choice should the betting prove accurate. The Liverpool group were among the support acts at the original Knebworth dates, and William Hill makes it a short 1/5 for at least one artist from the 1996 support bill to return for the 2027 shows.

The firm’s spokesperson Lee Phelps said: “With the inclusion of Knebworth in Oasis’ 2027 tour dates announcement, on what will be 31 years since their historic concerts at the Hertfordshire venue, there’s a frenzy of speculation on who will support the Britpop titans.

“We make Cast the 5/4 favourites to once again share the Knebworth stage with the Gallagher brothers, with the Manic Street Preachers a close second in the betting at 6/4. Meanwhile, we can’t rule out Liam and Noel to roll back the years with The Charlatans (2/1) or The Chemical Brothers (4/1).

“It is safe to say next year’s Knebworth gig will be nostalgic for many, and we make it 1/5 for any of their 1996 support to make a reappearance in the 2027 revival of one of Britpop’s most iconic performances.”

The latest market follows an extraordinary build-up to the tour announcement. Oasis had already been named the most-wanted comeback act of 2027, while ticketing experts had predicted a Monday presale before the new dates were confirmed.

Demand was also evident before the announcement, when hotel prices surged 471% around rumoured tour stops. The Knebworth return was finally confirmed after reports that an Oasis 2027 tour announcement was due, adding another major chapter to the band’s reunion era.

Oasis remain 5/1 with William Hill to release a new album in 2027 and 14/1 to headline any stage at Glastonbury. They are 16/1 to split before the Paris leg of next year’s tour, which takes place roughly two months before the Knebworth dates. The band were also recently priced ahead of Harry Styles in James Bond theme betting.

No support acts have yet been announced for Oasis’ 2027 Knebworth shows, and betting odds are subject to change.
