Oasis are now the male act, or band, most fancied by bettors to perform the next James Bond theme, overtaking Harry Styles and Ed Sheeran as attention turns to who will soundtrack 007’s first mission with a new actor.
Reports have been circulating that the next James Bond has been cast, with Jack Lowden widely rumoured to be the actor stepping into the role. While New Zealand singer Lorde remains the outright favourite to land the theme, Oasis have quietly become the name to beat among men.
Ticket marketplace SeatPick analysed a year’s worth of prediction market data from Kalshi, tracking how the odds have moved since June 2025. Oasis currently sit on a 12% chance, ahead of Harry Styles on 10% and Ed Sheeran on 9%.
The band’s odds have almost doubled since the summer, climbing from a low of just 6% on 4 July to 12% this week. Earlier in the year they had been as high as 48%, before cooling off as attention shifted to a run of female pop stars.
Lorde remains streets ahead at 83%, after her odds rocketed from 10% to 83% overnight on 27 August. Behind her sit Olivia Dean (37%), Raye (26%), Lana Del Rey (21%) and Dua Lipa (14%), with Oasis sixth overall.
The climb comes as speculation grows about what comes next for the band after they wrapped their reunion tour. Think of the Kalshi figures as a rolling chance out of 100, based on real money staked. The higher the number, the more strongly the market believes that artist will perform the next 007 theme.
Should Oasis land the job, they would become only the third band to perform a Bond theme, after Wings with Live and Let Die in 1973 and Duran Duran with A View to a Kill in 1985. The role has gone to a solo artist almost every other time in the franchise’s history.
Gilad Zilberman, Co-Founder of SeatPick, said: “Oasis quietly overtaking Harry Styles and Ed Sheeran is one of the more surprising moves we’ve seen in this market all year. A Britpop giant scoring the Bond theme would be a genuinely franchise-first move; it’s only ever really gone to solo artists, or in rare cases bands like Wings and Duran Duran. Lorde is still the clear outright favourite, and that’s not changing any time soon. But among the men, Oasis have gone from an afterthought in the summer to the name to beat, and their odds are still climbing. Given the band’s huge cultural weight right now, it’s not as far-fetched as it first sounds.”
