Angèle will perform at Rock Werchter on Sunday 4 July 2027, joining Tame Impala and SOMBR on the Main Stage. The Brussels artist released her third album, Instinct, last Friday, and the Werchter date is the first festival booking confirmed for the live show built around it.
It is her third time at the Festivalpark, but her first on the Main Stage. She played The Barn in 2018 and 2019. Tame Impala, the first name announced for 2027, will close the festival that Sunday. SOMBR was added to the same day earlier this month. Muse will headline Friday 2 July, their tenth appearance at the festival after first playing Werchter in 2000. Thursday 1 July and Saturday 3 July are still blank.
Rock Werchter 2027 runs from Thursday 1 to Sunday 4 July at the Festivalpark in Werchter. Ticket sales start at 10am on Friday 30 October. Registration for the presale, which gives earlier access to tickets, is open now at rockwerchter.be. Prices have not been published. More names will follow.
Since her breakthrough, Angèle has become one of the leading voices in contemporary European pop, with nearly 4 billion streams worldwide, multiple award-winning releases and sold-out arena tours. She has collaborated with Dua Lipa, Phoenix and Kavinsky. Hits include Balance ton quoi, Bruxelles je t’aime and Tout oublier. Instinct, out on 16 October through Angèle VL Records and Sony Music, is her first studio album since Nonante-Cinq in 2021, following debut Brol in 2018.
The 13-track record turns on rediscovering intuition. Through an electronic sound, she looks at the tension between control and letting go, image and reality, and the different versions of ourselves. Collaborators include Justice on What You Want, Soulwax on Trop, SebastiAn, and Caroline Polachek on Love Triangle. Singles already out are What You Want, Dis-le, Une seule vie and Love Triangle. She marked the release with a free show on Brussels’ Grand-Place last Friday.
The Instinct tour brings a new live show built for this phase. She plays two sold-out nights at Brussels’ ING Arena in March, on 20 and 21 March, before the Festivalpark date in July. The wider run also takes in Paris, New York and Berlin.
Rock Werchter bills itself as Belgium’s biggest music festival, and makes a point of pairing established acts with new talent on a line-up that refuses to sit in one genre. Organisers describe the facilities as excellent and the atmosphere as constant, and call it a multi-award-winning event that belongs in every music lover’s diary. More on the 2027 edition is at rockwerchter.be.
