Glastonbury: Sean Paul confirmed as Saturday John Peel headliner

Sean Paul has revealed he will headline Glastonbury’s John Peel Stage on the Saturday night.

The Jamaican dancehall artist sent out a tweet confirming the slot this afternoon, which had previously been rumoured to be Foals or Diplo. It was listed on the official set times as ‘TBA’.

Despite Sean Paul saying “it best not be rainin’, ya know?”, the John Peel stage is inside a large blue and red tent and was formerly known as the New Bands Tent.

Florence and The Machine and The Gaslight Anthem both appeared in the tent back in 2009, with Mumford & Sons performing in 2010 before they became world-famous.

Saturday’s remaining TBA slots include The Park Stage opener at 10:30am and another at the same stage at 6:30pm.
