Taylor Swift looks set to headline Glastonbury 2024

Taylor Swift Glastonbury 2020 Pyramid Stage

It looks like Taylor Swift could be set to headline Glastonbury next summer. The UK dates for her Eras Tour have now been announced and line up perfectly with a potential Sunday night Pyramid Stage headline slot. Fans have been expecting her to be announced for Glasto ever since the 2020 festival was cancelled weeks after she was confirmed as a headliner.

Organiser Emily Eavis said last year: “I think we’ve got Taylor on board next time she’s doing some touring. We would love to have her back, obviously.”

The dates for Glastonbury 2024 will be confirmed in a few days but it’s widely expected to be the weekend of Sunday 23rd June or Sunday 30th June. Taylor has kept both of them free in the tour dates announced yesterday.

She will play London’s Wembley Stadium on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd June and Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th June. There are no other dates announced during these weeks with the next confirmed show being in Amsterdam on July 5th.

While some artists can be ruled out because they rarely, if ever, play back-to-back nights, potentially having three gig days in a row doesn’t look like an issue for anyone hoping to see Taylor Swift at Glastonbury 2024. The tour dates announced so far contain multiple runs of gigs on three consecutive nights, while in both Tokyo and Mexico City, Taylor will play four nights without a break.

Tickets for Glastonbury 2024 will, as ever, be like gold dust. You’ll need to be both well prepared and lucky to secure them. This year, tickets sold out in minutes when they went on sale in the autumn and the resales this spring sold even faster.
