Paris’ leading festival Rock en Seine are bringing fans an early Christmas gift – Lana Del Rey will open Rock en Seine on Wednesday 21 August with an incredibly special concert, which will be her only performance in France for the entire summer of 2024. This performance follows her first appearance at Domaine de Saint-Cloud in 2014 and a wonderful surprise show at the Olympia last summer.
Since the release of her major debut album Born to Die eleven years ago, which featured the viral hit “Video Games,” Lana Del Rey has captivated audiences globally. The remix of “Summertime Sadness” gave Lana her first Top 10 US hit. Her second album, 2014’s critically acclaimed album Ultraviolence with singles “West Coast” and “Brooklyn Baby”’ followed. Her subsequent albums include 2019’s Grammy-nominated Norman Fucking Rockwell!, 2021’s Blue Banisters, and 2023’s Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, which hit No.1 in the UK this year. Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd is Lana’s 6th UK number 1 album and is the fastest selling album of 2023 in the UK.
Having embarked on 5 headlining tours, Lana has performed at the biggest festivals across the globe, including Coachella in 2014 to seven Lollapalooza festivals internationally, plus Glastonbury, and her summer 2023 BST Hyde Park show saw Lana’s highly anticipated return to the London stage.
Pre-sale registration will run from Friday 8 December (11AM GMT) until Sunday, 10 December (10:59PM GMT). To register for the presale, enter via a form on the Rock en Seine website, to then receive a private link on Monday morning, December 11, with the presale opening at 9AM and running until 5PM GMT for exclusive access before the general ticket sales open.
Lana Del Rey is the first show for Rock en Seine 2024, which follows on from August 22 to 25 at Domaine national de Saint-Cloud with headliners Fred again.., LCD Soundsystem, Måneskin, Massive Attack, PJ Harvey, The Offspring and The Smile, plus a full supporting line up.
With Rock en Seine taking place only days before the start of the Summer Paralympic Games, the festival will curate a programme, labeled Cultural Olympiad, alongside 4 other major cultural festivals (Festival International de la BD d’Angoulême, Festival de Cannes, Festival d’Avignon, and Rencontres photographiques d’Arles). The Cultural Olympiad of Paris 2024 aims to foster dialogue between sports, culture, Olympic and Paralympic values throughout the territory.
