Robbie Williams named first PhillGood 2027 headliner

Phillgood main stage

Robbie Williams has been announced as the first headliner of PHILLGOOD 2027, opening the second edition of Bulgaria’s newest major festival on Friday 16 July at the Rowing Canal in Plovdiv.

The British pop showman will take the Main Stage on the first night of a three day run from 16-18 July 2027, with Saturday and Sunday headliners still to come. The booking is the first major name of another international line-up from promoter Fest Team, following a debut summer that put Plovdiv firmly on the European festival map.

PHILLGOOD launched in July 2026 with more than 35 artists across three waterfront stages. The Cure, Gorillaz and Moby led the inaugural bill, joined by Wolf Alice, Kneecap, Suede, Sleaford Mods, Thievery Corporation, Daniel Avery, HAAi, Acid Arab, Kelly Lee Owens and more. Thousands of fans made the trip, with more than a quarter of the audience travelling from outside Bulgaria.

Together with sister festival Hills of Rock, Fest Team events drew more than 60,000 visitors to Plovdiv across two weeks of live music. Coverage stretched across Italy, Greece, the United Kingdom, Germany, Serbia, Romania, Turkey and the Netherlands, underlining the first edition’s reach beyond the usual Eastern European circuit.

Tickets are on sale from today, Friday 11 September. A Mastercard presale opened at 10:00 on Ticket Station, with Fest Club members getting access on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September. General sale follows on Monday 14 September at 10:00, if tickets remain. Three day tickets start at €199, with one day tickets from €99. Tent camping is available from €66 and caravan pitches from €88, both requiring a separate festival ticket. Early promo tickets had already sold out before any artist was named.

Williams has sold tens of millions of records across more than three decades and holds a record 18 BRIT Awards. His latest album, ‘BRITPOP’, became his 16th UK Number One, taking him past The Beatles as the solo artist with the most Number One albums in Official UK Chart history. He previously headlined TW Classic in Belgium in 2025, and returns to Bulgaria after a 2025 stadium show at Vasil Levski National Stadium in Sofia that drew more than 40,000 fans.

For UK festival goers looking beyond the established European circuit, the setting is a big part of the pitch. Plovdiv is widely recognised as the oldest continuously inhabited city in Europe, with Thracian, Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman layers still visible in the modern streets, plus a strong contemporary arts, food and nightlife scene. The Ancient Theatre of Philippopolis, built in the first century AD, remains one of the best preserved ancient theatres in the world and a working venue for music and performance.

The 2027 edition returns to the same Rowing Canal site as last year, with further artists to be announced in stages. Tickets and updates are at phillgood.ink.
