After a dreamy 2022 comeback, Europe’s biggest festival, Sziget situated in Budapest (Hungary) announces today its first wave of 2023 acts featuring the likes of world-class headliners Billie Eilish, David Guetta, Florence + The Machine and Imagine Dragons.
Taking place from the 10th to the 15th of August 2023, the Island of Freedom will also welcome Sam Fender, YUNGBLUD, Foals, Jamie xx, M83, Moderat, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Niall Horan, Sven Väth, Mimi Webb, Nothing But Thieves, Two Feet, Viagra Boys, Amyl and The Sniffers, 070 Shake, TV Girl, Dixon, Baby Queen, The Comet is Coming, Youngr, Los Bitchos, Destroy Boys, Kelly Lee Owens, Mall Grab, Partiboi69, Parra for Cuva, Jungle By Night, yunè pinku, Hannah Grae plus more to be announced.

Spanning over 6 days, every year Sziget transforms Budapest’s Óbuda Island into the ‘Island of Freedom’ becoming an all-encompassing experience that invites festival goers to leave their daily lives behind and immerse themselves in a world of freedom, friendship and cultural discovery.
The bar has been set high for its 29th edition which will welcome the two-time BRIT Award-winning Billie Eilish as part of her Happier Than Ever world tour, a highly anticipated show following rumours of a third album coming out in 2023. Dance music powerhouse David Guetta will come back to Sziget’s main stage after a jaw dropping performance in 2018 and with a fresh pack of songs under his arm after releasing ‘Crazy What Love Can Do’ with Becky Hill, ‘I’m Good (Blue)’ with Bebe Rexha and superhit recently released ‘Damn (You’ve Got Me Saying)’.
UK indie rock queen Florence + The Machine will be bringing her mystical energy and music to Sziget’s main stage after releasing her critically acclaimed album ‘Dance Fever’ and following a tour or mostly sold out shows this year. Elsewhere, American pop-rock band Imagine Dragons will be captivating the crowd with their emotionally charged tracks. 2023 will see the return of the British musician and man of the moment Sam Fender alongside the iconic Oxford legends, Foals presenting their latest album ‘Life Is Yours’. For the nostalgic, M83 will be coming back after a hiatus of live performing.
From rock to pop to electronic music, there is something for everyone at Sziget Festival. This new edition will see the festival feature another round of top tier performances in its more than 50 stages and electronic arenas like the Colosseum stage. Other highlights of this first announcement include crowd favourite and dance floor connoisseur Jamie xx, alongside Moderat who will be making the fans dance to their dark electronic tunes.
The self proclaimed ‘Prophet of Pleasure’ Partiboi69 will be showcasing his pumped up tunes and charismatic energy to the Island of Freedom, alongside fellow Aussie-born but London-based Mall Grab with his happy go lucky personality and big selection of beats. Also joining the bill this year, is the Innerversions boss man Dixon. The charismatic music legend Sven Väth who has dedicated his life to electronic music, will be delighting the masses with his infectious energy.
Sziget returns in 2023 with a slight change of date to be able to accommodate come of this edition’s acts; the new dates are 10 – 15 August 2023. Six-day tickets are now on sale starting at €325. For more details on Sziget head to szigetfestival.com.
