Brothers confirmed as official cider of Glastonbury 2022

Brothers Glastonbury 2020

Brothers have revealed they’ll be the official cider of Glastonbury 2022, with three of their ciders to be available at over 100 bars across the gigantic festival site.

While Brothers have had a presence at the festival for the last 27 years, Thatchers was the main cider served across Glasto’s bars as recently as 2018. Then, at Glastonbury 2019, Brothers’ Mallets Cider brand became the main cider sold at the event.

This time around, bars will be serving up the new Brothers Festival Apple Cider, billed as “a refreshing, medium dry cider made from the juiciest bittersweet Somerset apples.” It’ll be served alongside other Brothers ciders including Wild Fruit and Toffee Apple. The Brothers range is produced without artificial flavours or ingredients and is both gluten-free and vegan.

The new Festival Apple Cider will be available in shops and from the Brothers website, with promotional packs will give customers the chance to win one of ten pairs of tickets to Glastonbury 2022 – along with over 1000 other prizes including t-shirts, hats, tents and sleeping bag onesies.

Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis said: “Local provenance and heritage is important to us, so we love having a Somerset cider producer at the festival to showcase some of the best this county has to offer. Brothers Cider is produced less than three miles from the festival site and we have proudly welcomed them every year for the last 27 years. This continuous partnership is testament to our deep-rooted connection, and we can’t wait for everyone to taste the real Somerset cider again!”

Brothers said: “We can’t wait to see people coming together again and celebrating the return of festivals, and Brothers Cider will be right at the heart of it with you, every step of the way.”

All tickets for Glastonbury 2022 have now been sold. Resales of returned tickets were held last week which both sold out in a matter of minutes.

Earlier this month, Glastonbury organisers revealed the official line-up poster for this summer’s festival. Emily Eavis said: “We are very happy to bring you the first shortlist of artists from the main stages for Glastonbury Festival 2022 – and if you can believe it there’s even more to come!”

Long-rumoured headliners Paul McCartney and Kendrick Lamar have had their slot confirmed. Also included in around 90 artists revealed today are Supergrass and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, who were both strongly rumoured, while Lorde and Sigrid are among the recent Glasto acts returning for 2022.

Paul McCartney will be 80 by the time Glastonbury comes around, which would make him the oldest ever Pyramid Stage headliner. He’s expected to perform the day after Billie Eilish headlines. Aged 20 at the time, she’ll be the youngest ever Pyramid headliner.

Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis previously confirmed on Twitter that the initial line-up poster will be published in March, with area line-ups to follow – before the complete line-up with timings is released in June, just before the festival.

Glastonbury 2022 will take place from Wednesday 22nd to Sunday 26th June at Worthy Farm near Pilton, Somerset. Tickets sold out ahead of the cancelled 2020 festival, though a resale of cancelled tickets will take place before the event.
