Back in the 60s and 70s, the lives of many people revolved entirely around the summer festival circuit. Hippies, flower children, seekers and music lovers would make their way from event to event (usually in far less glamorous circumstances than the ones we’re about to discuss!) and meet up with existing friends or simply make new ones along the way. While we’re a long way from those days in 2026, festival hopping is emerging once again as the best possible way to spend your summer. Since summer is upon us once more, let’s take a look at some of the most exciting festivals in both Europe and the USA and how to hop between them in a safe, comfortable, and luxurious way.

Before We Dive In…
If you saw the word “festival” and immediately felt a shiver of revulsion run down your spine at the thought of standing in line for hours, sleeping on the cold, hard ground, and having to fight your way through hours of traffic jams to even find a spot to park, we have some happy news for you. The VIP options offered (think chalets or glamping, car services, and every manner of luxury) by modern festivals mean that you don’t have to engage in any of that if you don’t want to! Golden circle, exclusive spaces and events within festivals, chef-made meals and fresh sheets can all be yours if you know where to go and who to ask. Festivals should be about dancing till dawn, not getting lost in a sea of tents trying to find yours in the dark. As festival-goers become more ambitious with their summer plans, many are looking beyond traditional transport options. For those trying to fit multiple events into a single season, a private jet for hire arranged through companies such as Air Charter Services can offer the flexibility needed to move between destinations without losing valuable time.
