Spatial audio pioneers Polygon Productions are launching Polygon Portal, billed as London’s first dedicated 360° spatial audio listening room, opening on 7 May 2026 at a venue on Dean Street in the heart of Soho.

The space has been designed as an intimate, permanent home for deep listening, featuring a state-of-the-art 17.1.10 L-Acoustics sound system powered by L-ISA object-based mixing technology. That means 17 speakers surrounding the audience, 10 overhead arrays, and 10 subwoofers, creating a fully three-dimensional sound environment unlike anything else in London.

Evening programming will span album launches, world premieres with artist Q&As, one-off live performances, and exclusive fan events. Highlights already confirmed include spatial audio premieres from Jeff Buckley, Sigur Rós, Yann Tiersen, Fink, Beth Orton, Lee Scratch Perry, and Mouse on Mars, with label partners including Sony, Ninja Tune, Mute, Partisan, Edition Records, Domino and Ghostly International. Polygon Portal will also introduce an Essay Series, pairing curated listening sessions with written essays exploring the cultural and historical context of the music.

The venue will operate as a members-only space, accessible exclusively to free Polygon Insider members via sign-up at polygon-productions.live/polygon-portal. Capacity is strictly limited, reinforcing the focus on intimate, distraction-free listening. Insiders will also gain access to a social space and bar within the Soho venue.

Alongside the music programme, Polygon Portal is launching a dedicated wellbeing strand. Every morning, practitioners will lead sessions incorporating yoga, sound baths, guided meditation, breathwork, Pilates, and Qi Gong, designed to harness the rejuvenating qualities of spatial sound. Collaborating practitioners include Earth Echo, Elemental Resonance, Errin Briscoe, Jnana World, House of Voga, Sana, Robert Koch, Alex Ferreira and Tom Middleton’s Senzomi.

The Portal is also partnering with Nordoff and Robbins, the UK’s largest music therapy charity. Audiences will have the option to support the charity via donations when booking experiences. Sandy Trappitt, Director of Fundraising at Nordoff and Robbins, said: “Polygon’s immersive ‘Portal’ listening room concept brings the idea of music being more than something we just listen to, rather something we experience with our whole self, to life. It deeply resonates with our mission of using music and music therapy to enrich people’s lives, and we are proud to partner with such an innovative, forward thinking company.”

The launch follows years of Polygon Productions developing large-scale spatial audio environments on the global festival circuit. The company made waves at Soundstorm in Saudi Arabia and Wonderfruit in Thailand, where 70% of attendees rated the Polygon experience a 9 or 10 out of 10. Most recently, Polygon Live LDN brought the UK’s largest outdoor spatial audio festival to Crystal Palace Park in May 2025. The Portal represents the first time Polygon has brought this technology into a permanent, intimate indoor setting in London.

Adam Nicholas, Founder of Polygon Productions, said: “Polygon Portal was created for people who truly love music. In a world of constant noise and distraction, we wanted to build a space where listening becomes the main event again. Spatial audio is transforming how music can be experienced, but too often it’s treated as a technical feature rather than a creative opportunity. Polygon Portal is designed to change that, bringing audiences inside the music and creating an intimate experience that’s as exciting for artists as it is for listeners.”
