American Express presents BST Hyde Park has confirmed that acclaimed tenor Alfie Boe OBE will perform at All Things Orchestral, the popular live orchestral experience returning to the Great Oak Stage for a fourth consecutive year on Thursday 2 July 2026.

Hosted once again by TV and radio presenter Myleene Klass MBE, the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra — conducted by Stephen Bell — will take audiences on a summer evening’s journey through Cinematic Classics and more. The full programme is still to be announced.

Alfie Boe is one of Britain’s most celebrated tenors, admired for his ability to move effortlessly between opera, musical theatre and popular music. Born in Fleetwood, Lancashire, he trained at the Royal College of Music and the National Opera Studio before arriving at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. His breakthrough came with his portrayal of Rodolfo in Baz Luhrmann’s Broadway production of La Bohème, a performance that earned him a Tony Award. His defining role as Jean Valjean in the Les Misérables 25th Anniversary Concert at the O2 Arena in 2010 brought him international acclaim; he most recently starred in a concert tour of the production in Australia and will appear in a forthcoming China run later this year.

Beyond the stage, Alfie has released over a dozen studio albums and his collaborative albums with Michael Ball — Together, Together Again and Back Together — became some of the fastest-selling releases of the decade, with their tours selling out arenas across the UK. He has performed at Buckingham Palace for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, at the Royal Albert Hall and at venues across the US, Europe, Japan and Australia. In recognition of his services to music and charity, he was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire.

It is not Alfie’s first brush with this event. Previous editions of All Things Orchestral have featured a stellar roll-call of classical talent, and the 2025 edition — which returned for a third year hosted by Myleene Klass — notably included the world premiere of The Fantastic Four: First Steps Suite, composed by Oscar-winner Michael Giacchino. Other past highlights have included acclaimed US composer Laura Karpman, guitarist MILǑS and violinist Esther Abrami.

Conductor Stephen Bell trained under Norman Del Mar at the Royal College of Music and holds leadership roles with the City of Oxford Orchestra, Hallé Pops and RTÉ Concert Orchestra. He works regularly with major UK ensembles including the Royal Philharmonic, BBC orchestras and the Bournemouth Symphony, and his work spans BBC Proms appearances, classical recordings and collaborations with pop and folk artists.

Returning compère Myleene Klass MBE has been a fixture of the event from the very start. A classically trained musician, she has hosted The Classic BRITs and Popstar to OperaStar, presented on Classic FM and Smooth Radio since 2006 and 2014 respectively, and released multiple No.1 classical albums alongside Sunday Times bestselling parenting books.

Lucy Noble, Senior Vice President of UK Venues at AEG Presents, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome All Things Orchestral back to BST Hyde Park for its fourth year. Over the past few summers, these concerts have helped open up the world of orchestral music to wider audiences, and we’re proud to continue showcasing an incredible line-up of world-class musicians in a setting that’s both accessible and affordable.”

All Things Orchestral forms part of BST Hyde Park’s Open House programme, which runs across two weeks (Monday 29 June to Thursday 2 July and Monday 6 July to Thursday 9 July), transforming Hyde Park into a free celebration of culture, fitness, family entertainment and live music. The wider Open House offering includes Daft Funk Live, Trojan Sound System, Norman Jay MBE and The Good Times Band, the London African Gospel Choir and the Official Pride in London Pre-Party, alongside free wellness sessions, cricket, basketball, yoga and family-friendly theatre from Chickenshed: Tales of the Shed.
