Last month, Boomtown revealed Kano as the first major headliner for next summer’s festival, dubbed ‘Chapter 12: New Beginnings”.The MOBO-winning artist will close the Lion’s Den stage on Sunday night. Other artists already confirmed include Noisia, Flogging Molly and Caravan Palace.

The remaining headliners and district line-ups will be revealed in early February. Boomtown co-founder Lak Mitchell recently said: “Over the years we’ve been working towards a festival that was truly an interactive experience. One that celebrated the whole musical spectrum but also led the way in creative thinking.  This evolution will culminate this year with a multi-stage theatrical spectacle, fused with all the other performance elements, on a scale we’ve never done before!”

As part of an environmental campaign launched last year, Boomtown have now helped TreeSisters plant over 71,725 trees in forests around the world. Tickets for Chapter 12 next summer are currently on sale with an optional £2 donation to the charity. The £2 works out as five trees, which means if everyone attending donates Boomtown could plant over 250,000 trees.

Boomtown Fair Chapter 12: New Beginnings will take place from Wednesday 12th to Sunday 16th August 2020 at the Matterley Estate near Winchester.
