Those area line-up announcements for Glastonbury 2022 just keep coming and it’s now the turn of the Theatre and Circus fields. It’s where you’ll find the bulk of Glasto’s “jaw-dropping stunts, side-splitting comedy and cutting-edge theatre and circus”.

The line-up poster, shown below, confirms dozens of acts that’ll be performing at the festival this June, including Siegfried and Joy, a magic act from Berlin, and The Black Eagles, an acrobatic group.

The area is also where you’ll find most of Glastonbury’s comedy line-up, which this year will include Josh Widdicome, Dom Joly, Jonathan Pie and Nish Kumar.

The line-up poster is just the tip of the iceberg, with more than 1000 performers appearing across the three fields which make up the area over the course of the festival. Glastonbury’s walkabout theatre acts will be roaming the fields day and night.

This makes Theatre and Circus the fourth area to have its line-up confirmed by organisers, although yesterday, fans were left wondering if Carl Cox had accidentally shared the Arcadia line-up poster. Replying to a fan on his Facebook page, he shared an image which suggested the iconic Arcadia spider could make a return – though it was later deleted and it remains to be seen if the image shared was genuine or accurate.

Meanwhile, on Monday, the line-up poster for Glasto Latino was officially released, making it the third area line-up to be revealed after Silver Hayes and Field of Avalon. We expect there are still at least a dozen area announcements to come, but just those first three announcements have bolstered the main Glastonbury line-up poster revealed in March with hundreds of news artists including McFly, Sugababes and Gorgon City.

Also this month, the finalists of Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent Competition were revealed along with an official Soundcloud playlist. The eight up-and-coming artists will go head-to-head in live finals on Saturday 30th April, with the winner claiming a slot on one of Glasto’s main stages.

Recently, Glastonbury organisers revealed a limited edition poster print, from which all proceeds will go to War Child‘s Ukraine Emergency Fund. It features the festival’s 2022 artwork by Stanley Donwood reworked with the colours of the Ukrainian flag and will be produced on-site using the festival’s Heidelberg Cylinder printing press.

They’re now available to purchase from the online Glastonbury store for £25 with the sale limited to 2,022 prints, each of which will be numbered. They’re expected to be dispatched by the end of April, and last week, organisers shared the video below showing the printing process.

All tickets for Glastonbury 2022 have now been sold. Resales of returned tickets were held towards the end of March which both sold out in a matter of minutes. Your last chance at getting in might be to win tickets, so check out our frequently updated list of Glastonbury competitions.

Long-rumoured headliners Paul McCartney and Kendrick Lamar have had their slots confirmed. Also included in around 90 artists revealed on the main poster were Supergrass and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, who were both strongly rumoured, while Lorde and Sigrid are among the recent Glasto acts returning for 2022.

Paul McCartney will be 80 by the time Glastonbury comes around, which would make him the oldest ever Pyramid Stage headliner. He’s expected to perform the day after Billie Eilish headlines. Aged 20 at the time, she’ll be the youngest ever Pyramid headliner.

Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis previously confirmed on Twitter that the initial line-up poster will be published in March, with area line-ups to follow – before the complete line-up with timings is released in June, just before the festival.

Glastonbury 2022 will take place from Wednesday 22nd to Sunday 26th June at Worthy Farm near Pilton, Somerset.
